Nova Scotia-based Sustainable Blue signs letter of intent with WA
Washington State explores opportunities for land-based aquaculture with Canadian company. Nova Scotia-based Sustainable Blue’s closed-loop land-based facility is self-contained, avoiding the risks that come with open-net pen salmon farms. The company was founded in 2007 and is now selling its Atlantic salmon in Canada. “We are absolutely convinced that this is profitable, it is scalable and investable,” says Kirk Havercroft, CEO of Sustainable Blue.
