Salmon Evolution has welcomed the first smolt into Phase 2 of its Indre Harøy land-based salmon farming facility in Norway, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion plans and the continued growth of large-scale land-based aquaculture.

“This is a major milestone for Salmon Evolution,” said CEO Trond Håkon Schaug-Pettersen. “The successful start-up of Phase 2 reflects years of planning, operational learning, and strong execution across the organization.”

Once fully completed, the expansion is expected to more than double production capacity at Indre Harøy, strengthening Salmon Evolution’s ability to supply consistent, sustainable salmon to global markets while advancing the transition toward controlled, land-based seafood production systems.
