First Nations leaders in BC are urging an investigation into DFO’s scientific review and decision-making processes following flaws in a recent report on salmon farming and parasites. 16 professors and research scientists from Canadian and American universities signed a letter to Minister Murray, stating that the DFO’s report on the association between sea lice from salmon farms and wild Pacific salmon “falls far short of the standards of credible independent peer review and publishable science.” Find out more on CBC here.
